Children’s Worker Speakers

Leann Woelk

Leann Woelk is a passionate leader who enjoys using everyday items to teach families biblical truths and foundations of the faith through whimsical creativity and thrifty practicality.  Leann’s desire for spiritual formation has been able to help children, youth and adults encounter Jesus as she pastored in the local church, directed kids camps, speaking at conferences and camps, and served as the Children’s Ministry Specialist overseeing 130 churches in church vitalization and leadership development. She is a certified coach with INCM and currently is consulting and leading intergenerational Family Encounters as Director of Handle with Care Ministries. She delights in the small things in life, finding fun in the ordinary and laughing through all life’s ups and downs. Her greatest joy is hanging out with her husband of 31 years, her two sons, her daughter in law and 3 puppies at their home in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada.

Session One: Go Light Our World
Jesus told us to G.L.O.W. In Matthew 5:16. Come learn easy and unique ways to use black lights and every day items to captivate the attention of the kids to teach biblical truths of the Great Commission in this fun hands–on breakout.

Session Two: CM Foundations and Blueprints
Building and maintaining children’s ministries needs to be high priority for your church.  As Children’s Ministry Specialists you are either building a new “house” or renovating an existing one.  You have the solid foundation of Christ to build His church but what do the blueprints of this “house” look like? Let’s figure out your hopes and expectations and how to implement them into your ministry. Once you have the plan, you’ll go from surviving to thriving and being able to open the doors to endless possibilities to reach children for Christ.

Session Three: Heart to Heart Prayer
Prayer needs to be taught, demonstrated and practiced with children or them to grow in their relationship with God and know what is on his heart. Leaders who make space in schedules for instructional prayer will help children learn how to posture themselves before the Lord, how to see with their heart eyes, listen to his word and respond to him as in Psalm 27:8. Come experience hearing from God for your own purpose and calling so you can teach out of the overflow of your heart this coming Sunday!

Basics of Youth Ministry Speakers

Larry Moore

Larry has been involved in youth ministry for over 35 years, and is presently the Executive Director of United Youth Outreach, the covering for Street Invaders, Equipping, and various other outreaches. He was born in Ontario, started ministry in New Brunswick (youth worker – 9 years), then Saskatchewan (Youth Pastor/Senior Pastor – 10 years), Calgary (Associate Pastor – 5 years) and finally in his position as Executive Director for the past 20 years.

His heart is to see people won to Christ, especially students, developed into powerful disciples and sent out as influencers for the Kingdom of Light. He believes that one of the best ways we can see this happen is to influence those who influence students – youth leaders.
